Rather than depicting a literal scene, Kagebi uses color, reflection and texture to suggest the gentle glow of firelight. The changing surface gives the work a different expression throughout the day, making the material itself part of the experience.
A Modern Japanese Accent for Interiors
Kagebi works naturally in Japanese interiors, but its abstract composition also suits contemporary residential and hospitality spaces. The square S size can be used as a compact accent, while the elongated L size creates a stronger vertical presence reminiscent of a modern hanging scroll.
